Due to an unexpected change in their English department, our client secondary school in Manchester are looking for an English teacher to join them on a full time basis, to start either immediately or at October half term.

Our client secondary is a modern, mixed academy situated a short journey from Manchester city centre with excellent facilities and an engaged and well-behaved cohort of students. Since the school academised and partnered with another successful school in the area, the school has consistently improved across all major performance indicators and sits as one of the schools of choice in the local area with both students and parents. With a collaborative approach to teaching and learning strategies, the school is ideal for any teachers keen to work in a successful team.

As an English teacher at our client secondary school, the successful applicants will be expected to teach across both Key Stage 3 and 4, to groups of varying ability as well as marking work and supporting students aiming towards end of year examinations. The school heavily invests and plans for staff wellbeing and the incoming English teacher will find a wealth of support at hand, along with opportunity to access development and training courses throughout the year.

Applicants must hold a relevant teaching based qualification and previous experience teaching English at GCSE level.
