NHS Lanarkshire is looking for an enthusiastic assistant technical officer to join our pharmacy team!

This role has been created as part of an exciting innovation at University Hospital Monklands in the form of the Front Door Medicines Management Team. This role supports the objective of the robust management of patient's medicines on admission to unscheduled/emergency care. It involves working as part of the multidisciplinary team in these areas of the hospital to ensure the smooth transition of medicines, manage patient's own medicines, stock top-up, near patient dispensing and prompt return of non-stock medicines following a patient's discharge.

We are seeking an individual with an interest in personal development, experiencing of managing workload in a time critical environment, team working and communication skills.

Successful applicants will receive training and supervision to help them develop into this role. It is envisioned this role will involve the education and development of others to help to support the team.
