We are looking for a confident and motivated Business Intelligence Manager to join our team.

The role
  • Understand the contractual relationship with Homes England for each of their funding programmes and interpret risks and implications for the wider business and Partners involved.Prepare bid strategies for all Homes England funding programmes which are in line with Business Plan and fully support the Growth Strategy.
  • Provide business insight through strategic data and trend analysis into the Development Programme through the creation and implementation of wide ranging analysis of existing and future Development opportunities.
  • Provide Business support to Regional Development Managers and Assistant Directors of Development at the earliest stage of new opportunities to ensure they have appropriate information to support the negotiation process for new Development deals.Responsible for ensuring relevant and constructive management information is provided to the Senior Development team to inform strategic direction.
  • Responsible for monitoring and distribution of grant, internal subsidy and RCGF for Stonewater schemes within the Strategic Partnership programme, as well as coordinating information with delivery Partners for reporting to Homes England to provide assurance on delivery against key features of the proposition.
  • Maintain a detailed knowledge of the Capital Funding Guide and other Homes England guidance documents to ensure audit compliance with all regulatory standards demanded by Homes England.
  • Manage and implement internal audits and external auditors to meet the requirements of Homes England Compliance Audit. Ensure Stonewater Development staff are adequately trained on emerging Homes England regulations and process. Coordinate information to ensure the audit process is run efficiently.
  • Ensure excellence in data management and management information to inform the Senior Development team (for onward reporting to board) and Homes England on progress against targets and any actions and mitigation as necessary to meet targets.Produce reports for Board and/or Executive Management teams as and when required.
  • Support the implementation of any new agreed processes and provide technical tools to minimise time spent producing reports. Prepare the Reporting Requirements for ADC in conjunction with the Development Programme Manager and Director of Development Operations.Constantly review the Development reporting to ADC to ensure it is fit for purpose and provides its membership with the key pieces of information required.
  • Be the primary Development contact for the Development Finance Business Partner to facilitate all processes relating to the setting of the Development Budgets, Forecasts and input required by Finance Operations into the Year End Audit of Development activity. Be a finance expert on development activities where they impact on the financial position of the company.Work closely with Corporate Finance and Financial Services to ensure they have the information they need to best support the Development Team.
  • Lead, develop and motivate the Development Programme team to ensure the smooth running of the Programme Management with its responsibilities in terms of Grant applications and claims, information flows with Stakeholders and ensuring the effectiveness of the Pamwin system.

The ideal candidate
  • A Degree with MBA or equivalent relevant experience.
  • A proven ability to build detailed and insightful models to enhance the decision making process
  • A thorough understanding of Finance including accounting and financial audit knowledge of Sales and Development activity
  • Supports and consistently delivers excellent service to internal and external customers
  • Ability to delegate and set clear objectives, managing a range of conflicting demands and deadlines and prioritising workloads to ensure personal and team objectives are achieved.
  • Excellent business acumen including strategic and tactical thinking skills with a commitment to pursuing value for money through continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication, leadership business partnering and interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Highly organised with attention to detail
  • Ability to travel to nationwide to meetings, as required
