Engineering Manager

£45,000 - £55,000 Plus Bonus & Benefits (incl. Company Vehicle)

The Company

My client is a specialist manufacturing business that employs over 400 people and had a turnover that has grown consistently over the last 5years to in excess of £40million in 2018. They are part of an established group of companies that also provides Sales, Marketing and Distribution to the both nationally and internationally.

As a result of continued growth and development they have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Engineering Manager to take full responsibility for the Maintenance and Reliability for 2 sites (Nottingham & Leicester).

The Role

Reporting to the Operations Director the Engineering Manager will be responsible for the day to day running of the maintenance activities across both sites. Both sites are automated, so ensuring safe and efficient running of plant machinery is key, as well as adherence to Health & Safety.

Additional responsibilities will include:

Developing a CMMS system to Manage Planned Preventative Maintenance Tasks.

Managing CAPEX Projects from birth through to completion, including having budgetary control.

Ensuring all teams have the relevant Work Permits and Risk Assessments.

Contractor Inductions.

Ensure all Engineers adhere to H&S Policies and Safe Working Practices.

1-2-1's, Appraisals, Disciplinaries, Recruitment, and Training & Development

The Candidate

The ideal Engineering Manager will be a qualified engineer with at least 3years managerial experience in a similar role and gained within a manufacturing environment.

You will be organised, have a methodical approach and have a logical approach to problem solving. Although the role isn't primarily hands-on, you will relish the opportunity to get on the tools and lead by example.

You will have experience of implementation of Continuous Improvement or Lean Manufacturing principles.

You will also have a working knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental management systems.

The Benefits
