Required at Wigan secondary school, qualified teacher of Maths on a temporary basis to cover an extended maternity leave from September 2019 to July 2020 at least, though there could be an opportunity to stay beyond the year.

"We are looking for a suitably skilled Maths teacher to join us on a temporary basis from September to teach Maths across Key Stages 3 and GCSE. We have achieved excellent results for the past 3 years exceeding target grades and we are looking for a Maths teacher with a previous track record of delivering excellent results" - Head of Maths

The incoming Maths teacher will be expected to take on department responsibilities including planning and marking of schemes of work for their classes. Maths is the flagship department in this school, GCSE results were above the national average for KS3 and GCSE groups. Further information below;

The school is a small and well regarded mixed secondary in Wigan, a short distance from the A580 East Lancashire road that connects Manchester to Liverpool along with surrounding areas such as St Helens and Leigh, with the local rail station a short distance away. The Maths teacher joining this school will need to fully commit to the post for the duration and work in collaboration with the Maths department to ensure positive results for upcoming examinations.
