Zeus Personnel are pleased to be working with a first-class training provider based in Salford, who are now looking for a Training Development Manager to join their growing team.

Working as part of the production team, the training manager will be responsible for all open training courses and ensuring sufficient product is scheduled to hit revenue targets. As well as rescheduling existing courses, you will proactively source new course ideas and work with tutors and the marketing team to make sure the courses are marketable, financially viable and appropriately scheduled.

You will be creative and analytical with strong research skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Additionally, you will require good attention to detail and project management skills.

The successful candidate will be required to work outside of office hours and travel from time to time. Core office hours are 9am-5:30pm however flexibility will be required.

Duties:

The training manager will work directly with the head of production and heads of departments (Sales, Marketing, Events etc.) to secure new courses and reschedule existing training. You will take both university and external tutors through the engagement process and ensure appropriate financial agreements are in place.

·Coordinate and develop a commercially successful portfolio of training courses to support the company in achieving its ambitious growth targets

·Work with university partners to come up with ideas and offer guidance in the process to take it to market

·Be the first point of contact to secure new dates and find solutions when tutors are unavailable

·Issuing agreements and negotiate costs for new tutors. Keep records of agreed fees to allow for budgeting to be clear

·Manage the database of approved industry associate trainers and university academics

·Regularly attend networking and communicating partnership opportunities

·Ensure all new products are developed in a timely manner to support the marketing and sales process and schedule

·Provide an excellent client focused approach to dealing with all internal and external stakeholders

·Increase product portfolio by supporting the head of production in developing commercial partnerships with associates and partner organisations

·Prepare and maintain detailed records and accounts of all product activity

·Maintaining the product planner spreadsheet used by all departments

Additional responsibilities

·Support the events team with event delivery as required, performing the full role of event lead

·CPD Assessments - send applications, update the website for CPD accredited events, follow up post event to confirm CPD status

Requirements:
  • Have worked in a previous position that requires lots of scheduling and rescheduling
  • Research skills
  • Able to work in a team as well as manage individual responsibilities and targets
  • Exceptional administrative and communication skills
  • Experience in developing training products or event production
  • Flexibility for occasional UK based travel and out of hours work
  • Degree would be highly beneficial and preferred
