Cash Allocation Clerk. Just outside Birmingham City Centre. £10-12 an hour. 6 months.

Hays Credit Management is supporting a large manufacturer and distributor who are market leaders in their sector. The Credit team is a total of 20 heads, across collections, cash allocation and debt recovery.

The team are looking for some interim support, to help out with a transition in software which will create a backlog of cash to be allocated.

Your new role

  • Supporting the collections team and creating reports for payments overdue
  • Posting of all cash to the accounts in a timely and efficient manner in line with the
    companies audit procedures
  • Register and record all disputes raised by internal and external customers and chase
    appropriate departments for resolution to the dispute in an acceptable time frame.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience in a Sales Ledger or accounts department
  • Experience in checking for payments and reconciling bank accounts.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work
  • Good level of Excel (Formulas, Pivot Tables)
