Our client is a growing software as a service organisation based in County Durham who is looking for a Technical Project Manager with a background in Software Development to join their team.

In this role you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, coordinating activity with various Technical Leads on large scale projects for a very high-profile client. You will establish progress on technical projects, identifying any problems and problem solving. The successful candidate will need to have a background in Web Development or Software Development and moved into a Project Management or Project Coordination or Scrum Master type of role.

Skills & Experience:
  • Experience organising and performing prototyping and proof of concepts.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (TDD, SCRUM, Kanban, etc).
  • Experience of Accessibility best practice.
  • Ability to quickly research and learn new programming tools and techniques.
  • An ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
  • Experience working on technical projects within a team.
  • Knowledge of the use of version control systems such as subversion or git.
  • Experience of best practice with HTML, CSS, SCSS and JavaScript and JQuery.

Role & Responsibilities:
  • Understanding the technical direction of customers.
  • Recommend and participate in the design and implementation of standards, tools and methodologies.
  • Build strong client relationships and introductions.
  • Provide guidance / coaching, training and development of the project teams.
  • Conduct ongoing reviews of the technical output.
  • Enable delivery teams to be successful by identifying problems and applying solutions.
  • Contribute enthusiastically to the continuous improvement of coding practices, application quality, tooling and agile processes.
  • Work with delivery teams and partners to break technical requirements down into appropriate pieces, and to identify key API requirements.
  • Advise on, technically lead and implement delivery projects.
  • Work with the Project Manager and Business Analyst to ensure project success.
