Pre-sales Consultant - up to 55,000 + quarterly bonus' + excellent pension options + private healthcare + a number of other benefits/discounts

MUST HAVE PRE-SALES EXPERIENCE ( preferably in a data management software )

My client is a market leading Data Management Software Consultancy who due to growth and new business are looking to hire a Pre-sales Consultant. My client helps its customers to gain access to accurate and trustworthy data, in order to give them confidence in making strategic business decisions. Data has the power to transform lives, grow business and improve societies, and for it to have the right impact clean and high quality data is essential.

The Pre-sales consultant sits within the Professional Services part of the business. The Pre-sales Consultant acts as the product and subject matter experts, and the go-to both internally and externally for knowledge and expertise on the products that they offer. The Pre-sales Consultant will help to facilitate the client's technical understanding of Data Quality products, acting as a key advisor. The Pre-sales Consultant will be responsible for assisting the sale of innovative data management solutions to clients as well as driving the team forward through contribution to the strategy. They will work with the Sales teams in the sale of correctly scoped, documented, and profitable solutions

Clients are cross industry including: retail, finance, insurance, charities, leisure, healthcare, public service, and utilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to;
  • Data consulting - this is through working with clients to understand what they want from their data, and how they can help them make better decisions, and get the most value from their data
  • Workshops - The would work with CXO level people in the form of workshops to gather requirements
  • Product consulting/Strategy defining - they will assist in looking at the bigger picture, once goals are defined, then they will look at the products on offer and how they would implement the product, how it would fit in to the clients landscape. Identifying a solution based around our existing products and service offering, aligning it to fit the original business needs.
  • Statements of work writing - defining what has been agreed
  • Tender or RFI stage - Present to a panel, and provide the answers to questions.

To be considered for this role you must have:
  • Strong relationship building skills at all levels - both internally & externally
  • Graduate calibre (2.1 or above, ideally in computer science, maths, business discipline) or equivalent qualifications
  • Highly driven individual
  • Commercially astute with good negotiation skills
  • The ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure
  • A logical approach to problem solving and strong troubleshooting skills
  • Ideally have a proven background in software consultancy including software solutions
  • Ideally have experience with complex data quality projects incorporating elements of cleansing, validation, de-duplication, data migration, data auditing, analysis etc.
  • Experience responding to RFI/RFP tenders.

This role will involve you working on the management of end-to-end delivery processes in a consulting environment from the proposals, templates for requirements gathering, presentations, approach documents, managing the pipeline and ensuring the projects are delivered to plan, budget and time. With a demonstrable ability to manage pre-sales processes, clients, excellent interpersonal skills, and strong technical abilities and understanding, combined with business acumen, this is a type of environment that an ambitious and creative mindset will thrive in.
