PURCHASE LEDGER ASSISTANT - CONSTRUCTION - BOREHAMWOOD - HEAD OFFICE - JRL GROUP - ACCOUNTS - COINS

Specialising in sub and superstructure packages with our in-house capabilities gives us the edge over our competitors.

The successful purchase ledger assistant will be confident and a detail-oriented professional, able to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment and have a strong interpersonal and communication skill.

Duties & Responsibilities:

* Code and process invoices/credit notes, reconciling delivery notes to invoices received and purchase orders.

* Highlighting and resolving any queries.

* Liaising with a range of external suppliers.

* Liaising with internal staff across multiple areas of the business.

* Monthly reconciliation of supplier statements.

* Processing BACS payments and preparing cheques ensuring adherence to procedures and payment terms.

* Meeting monthly deadlines and understanding and implementing period end routines.

Qualifications & Skills:

* A good understanding of general Purchase Ledger processes gained in a commercial environment.

* Methodical with an organised and disciplined approach to work.

* A team player with good communication skills.

* Basic Excel skills.

* Knowledge of the construction industry is desirable but not essential.

* Knowledge of our accounting system COINS would also be useful.
