Front End Developer - Holiday Cottage Booking Platform

We are looking for a Front End Developer to work on our portfolio of websites and internal tools. The position will appeal to someone with a passion for creating mobile-first, pixel perfect web pages. You will be working in a small friendly in-house team of other developers and IT professionals. Communication is key and the ideal candidate will be comfortable working in an agile environment as part of a scrum team.

Front End Developer Responsibilities:

+ Ongoing development and design work to various public and private facing websites and web applications.
+ Creating pixel perfect code from provided designs and creating custom designs which mar well with themes and standards already employed.
+ Keeping websites up to date with current and future web standards and specifications.
+ Adhering to style standards on fonts, colours and images, and becoming a proponent on said standards moving forwards.


+ Able to deliver mobile-first responsive sites using a combination of HTML5 & CSS3.
+ Familiarity with a component library or layout system to aid front end development (bootstrap, CSS grid, etc…)
+ Accomplished with JavaScript, in particular ES6.
+ You will know your way around various JavaScript frameworks and libraries, but more importantly you will know where and when they will be a good fit.
+ You are meticulous when it comes to organising and writing code, you comment concisely and document often.
+ You are comfortable using a modern graphics application to aid site development.

Advantageous skills:

+ Familiar with dependency management and module bundlers (e.g. yarn, webpack)
+ Experience with a templating engine.
+ Usage of a version control system, ideally including some branching experience.
+ Experience working with APIs.
