The company, part of a highly successful international manufacturing business, is a leading supplier of speciality chemicals used in a variety of industrial applications. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a profitable, growing business as Finance & Administration Manager, be part of their senior management team and play a major role in the future development of the organisation.

Key responsibilities will include the following:

- Ensure timely production of monthly management accounts including investigation and analysis of variances
- Prepare management accounts and balance sheet ahead of annual audit
- Cashflow management, forecasting, credit control, P&L analysis
- Preparation of annual budgets
- Maintain asset register
- Manage payroll and associated administration
- HMRC VAT returns, PAYE / NI and employee earnings / benefits - P11Ds etc
- Provision of regular and reliable management information to the MD
- Reporting and liaison with European HQ in respect of finance function
- Develop process improvements and drive efficiency in the business
- Maintain effective financial controls and policies
- Supporting the MD in the day-to-day running of the business
- Managing the administration function through a small support team

A qualified or part-qualified accountant ideally, or perhaps qualified by experience, you should be able to demonstrate the following experience and characteristics:

- Proven track record of effective financial management and control, preferably within a manufacturing environment that operates internationally
- Sage Line 100 experience would be preferred
- Strong IT and Accounting systems knowledge
- Sound commercial skills
- Strong leadership, managerial and interpersonal skills, good communicator
- Ability to operate at both a strategic and operational level
- Proven track record of business improvement and managing change
- Comfortable with working to strict deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail
