This ambitious business has two opportunities for the role of Business Development Manager. The successful applicants will be responsible for engaging with businesses in Birmingham (West Midlands) and the other responsible for East Midlands. A full driving licence and access to a car is essential.

The Role

You will take a consultative approach, listening to what levy paying employers need to enable them to increase employee engagement by supporting them to develop their work force, help them devise effective training and recruitment plans and how best to manage their Apprenticeship Levy.

You will be able to engage with the SME employer market, where you will be able to work in conjunction with them to utilise the co-funded model in order to grow and up-skill their current workforce.

You will be generating new leads and opportunities wherever necessary, you will know and understand how to maintain and nurture long sales cycles through the use of intelligent communication. You will build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure services are delivered to an excellent standard. You will actively sell and promote our offer including Accountancy, Digital Marketing, Business Administration, HR Support, Leadership & Management and Housing.

The Individual

You will be a great listener, matching your approach to employer requirements and values, and able to understand what clients need.

Able to use your consultative sales approach to secure new employer clients, you have proven ability to utilise a variety of new business development lead generation approaches, from cold calling to presenting to a room of business owners, able to tailor your approach for different audiences. You will have an engaging communication style, able to build authentic and collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
