We are looking for an experienced urban researcher with knowledge of the London regeneration landscape to join our growing team in our London office. We are seeking a new team member at a senior level capable of working alongside the practice partners and senior management team. The ideal candidate will have experience in undertaking quantitative and qualitative research through analytical and engaged processes. The role includes contributing fieldwork, desk-based data auditing and strategy development spanning spaces of culture, industry and employment.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a small project team delivering urban research and strategy commissions.

Qualifications
Candidates applying must:

  • have a Masters-level qualification in urban studies or similar related subject; and
  • have a Degree-level qualification in economics, political science, urban systems, policy studies or similar related subjects.

Experience
Candidates applying should:

  • have worked in a similar role within a place-making, architecture or academic organisation;
  • have UK-based experience of urban research commissions for public sector clients;
  • have experience of coordinating a team, overseeing project resourcing levels and time management;
  • have proven ability to lead on project development; and
  • be familiar with London’s regeneration context and best practice in relation to culture, industry and employment spaces.

Skills
Candidates applying should:

  • be a talented and inquisitive urban researcher with good technical knowledge with a great eye for presentation;
  • have an ability to independently drive project analysis and development;
  • have excellent communication skills and a desire to contribute to lively, creative and productive team;
  • have fluency with Adobe CS and GIS (essential);
  • be seeking opportunity for career progression within the office including a role pursuing, securing and shaping the outputs of the practice; and
  • demonstrate a powerful public conscience in pursing project goals and practice aims.
