Agile Project Manager / Scrum Master
Location: Bristol
Salary Range: £45,000 - 65,000 DOE

We have an exciting opportunity for an outstanding Agile Project manager / SCRUM Master to join our team and take charge over the coordination and delivery of our software and web platform projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the daily operation of our R&D, software engineering, Machine Learning and Web development teams and running a Government funded R&D project through the entire project life cycle; from requirement negotiation, resource allocation, scoping, through to planning, risk management and delivery; ensuring deadlines and budgets are met every time. Internally you will be the key connection between our R&D and offshore operation teams.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a compassionate and proactive candidate within our innovative and fast-growing business based in central Bristol.

Our ideal candidate would have a passion for new technologies and a willingness to be technically knowledgeable: i.e. understand new technologies and discuss them at a technical level with team members and management.

You must be an excellent and confident communicator making sure you keep everyone informed and ensure the project runs smoothly and according to plan.

You will ideally be interested in having a generalist approach, picking up ad-hoc tasks as well, to make sure your team can do their job.

Rovco is a fast-growing subsea technology business, advancing the state of the art in underwater data collection through developing machine learning, and live 3D machine vision-based technologies and data analysis.

REQUIREMENTS
  • A proven track record in successfully delivering end to end, complex, software solution / web -based projects.
  • Relevant educational background.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good problem solving and time management skills with the ability to deliver projects on time and on budget.
  • Enthusiastic, professional and proactive attitude.
  • To be familiar with MS Project or similar.
  • Familiar with formal software development and management methodologies such as Scrum, Agile etc.
  • Experience working with government or public sector clients or other institutional funding sources (Innovate UK, UKRI, EPSRC, TSB, UKSA, ESA, DSTL, MOD etc.) in either industry or academia is a Big Plus.
