RECRUITMENTIQ are working in partnership with Sydenhams Limited and are seeking a Marketing Assistant.

Full-time Marketing Assistant required for a large independent builders merchant chain, whose Head Office is based in Boscombe, Bournemouth. As a family run business with a turnover of circa £90M we can offer you a great working environment, competitive pension and generous staff discount scheme.

You may be someone with a Marketing background, looking for a new challenge or you might be someone who possesses the right core skills who is looking to develop a career in Marketing. Supporting the Marketing Executive, you will need to be a pro-active, creative individual, with strong organisational and time management skills and an excellent attention to detail, in particular proof reading, with a confident understanding of English language. An assured team player with good communication and influencing skills with people of all levels is a must.

Key Responsibilities-
  • Ensuring that all internal and external copy produced by the Commercial/ Marketing department has been proofed and is of a high standard
  • Regular content creation and creative contribution to our social media channels (currently Facebook and Twitter)
  • Contributing to the design of new third party content
  • Contributing to the development of promotional activity
  • Developing relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external
  • Contributing to website content
Essential Skills-
  • An excellent communicator with both verbal and written skills, considering the needs of different audiences
  • Someone who is not afraid to independently suggest and develop creative ideas
  • A confident, outgoing and creative person who wants to help grow our brand
  • Excellent attention to detail, in particular the correct use of English language within our communications
Desirable Skills-
  • A basic understanding of marketing techniques and principles
  • Previous experience of using social media as a business tool help to grow a brand/ business
  • Experience of working in a Commercial Head Office
  • Experience of builders merchant/ trade/ DIY arena
  • Experience of CMS systems to support website activity
  • Experience of e-commerce
  • Experience of design packages and editing software
Job Benefits-
  • Salary £16 - £21k depending on experience
  • Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm
