We are currently looking to recruit a Sheet Metal Fabricator to join DENSO Marston a large Manufacturing Company in Shipley, West Yorkshire. To manufacture heat exchangers and cooling pack assemblies from drawings provided by our internal product design department. The position of Prototype Department - Sheet Metal Fabricator offers an interesting and varied job for an individual who has practical engineering abilities and proven ability in meeting deadlines whilst maintaining highest quality standards of workmanship.

Key Responsibilities of Sheet Metal Fabricator

To manufacture quality heat exchangers and cooling pack assemblies from engineering drawings whilst ensuring that our highest quality standards are maintained to meet customer requirements.
To liaise with engineers to understand / clarify their heat exchanger and assembly requirements.
Responsible for checking and signing for quality of own work against engineering drawings prior to submitting to Prototype Supervisor for final approval.
Good problem solving skills needed to deal with the varying concepts of heat exchangers, components & assemblies that need to be created.
Responsible from start of project through to packing and ready for shipping to customer.
To have excellent skills in terms of Sorting, storing, tidying and safety of self & area within the Prototype department.Key Skills

Fully skilled in sheet metal fabrication, ideally apprentice trained.
Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and drawings.
Ability to construct patterns and templates for Sheet Metal fabrication work.
Excellent problem solving & communication skills, able to liaise at all levels.
TIG Welding experience, mainly Aluminium, but also some steel welding experience required.
Knowledge/experience of CMT would also be beneficial.
Good machining skills: Turning & Milling using 3 axis machining.
Team player able to work as part of a small team to achieve targets.
Awareness of Health & Safety considerations and legislation.
The ability to work under pressure.Essential Experience

Fully skilled, trained as a sheet metal fabricator.
TIG Welding skills (experience with Aluminium would be preferred).
Understanding of technical drawings.
Machining skills: Turning & Milling using 3 axis machining.Desirable

Apprentice trained
Knowledge/experience of welding with CMT
Experience working in a Prototype environment
Current clean driving license Hours of Work/ Benefits
Mon - Thurs 7:30 - 4pm
Friday 7:30 - 12:30pm
