If you are a community fundraising professional with appeals and volunteer management experience, this is the ideal role in which to develop, grow and expand your knowledge and career prospects.

Our vision is for every pet to enjoy a healthy life in a happy home and you will be playing a vital role in the realisation of this. Every pound your fundraising efforts make means we can help more animals and deliver on our vision, so you know you will be supporting an incredible cause.

So, if you are ready to help keep our doors open, find homes for abandoned pets, promote animal welfare and provide treatment, this is the role you've been waiting for.

Your Role

As a Regional Fundraising Officer, you will join the Community and Events Fundraising Team and play a key role in the identification and development of new fundraising activities. You will also be tasked with supporting and developing existing fundraising groups and the promotion of the national and challenge events programme.

Working to develop and implement regional fundraising plans, you will develop fundraising opportunities and enhance the recruitment and engagement of volunteers associated with your fundraising activities.

Your role will also involve:

- Supporting existing and new national fundraising initiatives
- Helping establish and develop fundraising opportunities with local organisations
- Planning and managing a programme of fundraising projects
- Identifying and researching potential opportunities
- Ensuring all internal communication resources are optimised and encourage staff participation in events

About You

To be considered as a Regional Fundraising Officer, you will need:

- Demonstrable experience in a community fundraising role
- Demonstrable experience in running regional local fundraising appeals
- Experience in recruiting and managing volunteer fundraising groups and individual fundraisers
- Experience of planning fundraising events programmes and evaluating fundraising opportunities
- A track record of working with the media
- Experience of working with other fundraising teams to deliver diverse activities including events, corporate partnerships and key supporter/cultivation activities
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), databases and the internet
- To be educated to degree level or equivalent or experience in an appropriate field
- A full driving licence and access to your own transport
- Excellent written and face to face communication skills, with an aptitude for interacting with colleagues and supporters on all levels

A certificate in fundraising would be beneficial to your application. Knowledge of fundraising databases (ideally CARE) would also be an advantage.

Other organisations may call this role Fundraising Officer, Regional Partnerships Officer, Regional Giving Officer, Community Fundraising Officer, Community Partnerships Officer, or Community Development Officer.

The closing date for applications is the 12th September 2019.

Grade: 4.1
