An exciting contract (12 months or more) opportunity for a Project Manager has arisen with the local authorities in Leeds.

The ICT Project Manager is a key function that will lead on the delivery of critical technology projects which will form a key part of the wider corporate technology programme that the organisation is currently delivering. You will:

Lead the planning and delivery of 3 to 4 projects, either in-house or working directly with our Lead Delivery Partner.
Be responsible for the delivery of IT projects with values of up to £1m, to put improved IT infrastructure and systems in place to support the organisation in delivering positive outcomes for the region.
Lead and instruct multi-disciplinary teams. Responsible for planning, managing, monitoring and reporting on all aspects the projects including financial.
Deliver projects on time, to quality and budget in a fast moving project environment. Responsible for the procurement, appointment and management of technical and commercial consultants, suppliers and contractors, the provision of technical input and support to projects as required.
Preparation of briefs, reports, press releases and communications.
Liaison with internal and external stakeholders, representing WYCA and Delivery Partners, attending and chairing meetings and site visits, as necessary.
Responsible for closing projects and passing to in life service.Skills and Experience:

Experience of driving projects to successful delivery, using known project and programme management methodologies to ensure that the full benefits of the programme are achieved.
Experience of delivering complex IT programmes including change management. Be able to manage the effective use of resources. Work in partnership with internal departments and external suppliers across all aspects of the programmeHave a collaborative working style and be a team player.
Degree in a relevant field, or relevant demonstrable practical experience.Relevant Professional Qualification (e.g. PRINCE2, APM, MSP, Agile).

Hours of work are 8.30am till 5pm, Monday to Friday, 12 months probably to be extended.
