Salary: Basic up to £45,000 plus Package and Bonus

Company Summary:

Our client is a leading Multi-Billion Pound Property Asset Management company which also combines one of London's most iconic real estate assets with digital technology to deliver a world class living, working, retail and leisure destination.

As part of their property portfolio they own large areas of real estate in one of London's premier locations. This includes most of the town's markets and several separate assets including commercial, retail and residential buildings plus further assets in the surrounding nearby boroughs.

They also own three technology businesses, an e-commerce marketing platform and a European mobile marketing business plus a B2C online fashion retailer and further additional overseas property assets.

Position Summary
  • Develop and implement individual project and steady state contracting strategy proposals including preparation and evaluation of tender documents and negotiation of contracts.
  • Provide post contract commercial management support for a range of contracts.
  • Provide dedicated support to senior staff in respect of individual projects and/or contract/commercial issues, including 'rapid response' to potential contract disputes.
  • Target specific goods, services and/or suppliers to identify how tangible improvements may be made in the procurement of these goods and services.
  • Undertake regular contract management meetings with key stakeholders and suppliers to monitor whether maximum value was delivered via contract.
  • Manage responsibilities for endorsements and approval of contract variations.
  • Provide all services to programme/project teams in a timely and cost-effective manner and contribute positively towards the achievement of programme/project objectives.
  • Recognised skills in contractual and commercial matters, with credibility and experience to act as advisor to other staff.
  • Successful procurement background with practical intermediate level experience.
  • Contributed towards maintaining successful relationships with suppliers.
  • Knowledge of relevant contract terms.
  • Strong negotiation skills.

Required Qualifications / Expertise:
  • A dedicated, hard-working, mature, enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with the ability to work both on his or her own initiative and as part of a team.
  • The right candidate will require good coaching and mentoring skills to get the best from their team.
  • They will have excellent all round procurement experience, be commercially astute and knowledgeable about the construction market and impact of wider economic issues.
