Morgan Hunt are delighted to be working exclusively with a New City College to appoint a Group Curriculum Director - Construction and Motor Vehicle.

The Group, based in London, comprising of Tower Hamlets College, Hackney Community College, Epping Forest College, Redbridge College and Havering Colleges is one of the strongest and most influential further education organisations in the country.

Working closely with the New City College Senior Management Team, the ideal candidate will have extensive experience developing curriculum, a proven track record of success and the hunger to play a pivotal role in the strategic development of the College's Construction and Motor Vehicle provisions. You will also have demonstrable success of developing relationships and executing clear strategic approaches to curriculum, in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities of the Group Curriculum Director - Construction and Motor Vehicle:
* Develop and maintain a high standard of teaching and learning across campuses
* Lead and develop an appropriate curriculum for learners across college campuses.
* Responsible for the achievement of income targets within the curriculum area
* Develop a well-planned market appropriate apprenticeship provision in line with sector needs
* Contribute to the overall strategic development of the College.
* Responsible for managing and growing the full cost recovery provision
* Lead the Self-Assessment and Quality Improvement arrangements for their curriculum areas
* Plan and implement an imaginative, appropriate and rigorous programme of courses and qualifications
* Teach 3 hours per week excluding cover, team teaching or ad hoc sessions.
* Plan and justify the annual budgets for their curriculum area.
* Responsible for the line management, support, supervision and professional development review of designated staff
* Deputise for the Borough Principal as necessary

The ideal candidate Group Curriculum Director - Construction and Motor Vehicle will have:
* A degree or appropriate professional teaching qualifications.
* Understanding of current government policy and key issues in relation to post-16 education
* Experience and understanding of key issues affecting adults and 14 - 19 learning in the Further Education sector in London.
* An excellent commercial negotiator with strong Influencing skills
* Experience of successful budget management
* Significant experience and ability to analyse and interpret complex data
* Extensive experience in managing, delivering and developing levy and non-levy Apprenticeship provision
* Be able to recognise good and outstanding teaching and be able to address underperformance.
* Proven track record of successfully leading at senior level in the education sector with extensive knowledge of the complex FE environment
* Proven success of developing relationships with employers and key external stakeholders
* Proven Staff development and change management skills
* Experience of strategic planning with a focus on delivering product development and innovation
* Have a passionate and proven commitment to the achievement of excellent learning outcomes

Salary: £65,000 - £70,000
