As a member of a centralised M&I Operations team supporting both local and international clients, the Measurement Engineer will contribute to the delivery of measurement and instrumentation project activities.

You'll undertake consultancy assignments site-based inspection, verification, and audit work as directed, to fulfil individual project requirements.

You'll contribute to the efficient operation of the department by assisting with routine technical, commercial, and administrative tasks as required, and will develop and maintain essential metering and measurement skills through practice, guidance of peers, self-study, and external or on the job training to allow progression to a more senior role within the department.

To be successful you'll need to have experience of working in a multi-disciplined, operational engineering environment where core competencies and skills are routinely required and utilised, demonstrating problem resolution from initial fault diagnosis to corrective action and implementation. You'll have practical experience in Oil & Gas operations encompassing measurement and instrumentation and will be fully versed in preparing detailed technical reports, procedures and documentation.

You'll need operational experience of instrumentation, control systems and SCADA, and must have knowledge, understanding, and demonstrable experience of flow measurement and allocation principles, equipment, and methodologies.

Applicants will need to have good knowledge, understanding, and demonstrable experience of hydrocarbon measurement, analysis equipment and associated sample conditioning systems, and developing measurement uncertainty calculations. You'll also need experience of routine maintenance, calibration, and proving activities knowledge and understanding an of international oil and gas standards.


• Degree/ HND in Engineering or related science-based subject.

• Practical experience in Oil & Gas Industry including exposure to process engineering, measurement, or instrumentation domain.


• Commercial experience including but not limited to client interface, budgets, contract compliance and client development.

• Knowledge of auditing techniques and procedures.

• EU ETS measurement experience

• Post Graduate qualification in specialised engineering, science based, or management related subject.

• Project management experience.
