We are currently recruiting a full time, Marketing Manager, to work on our show - British Tourism & Travel Show.

Diversified Communications UK is part of a rapidly growing, highly successful trade exhibition and media group, with our head office in Portland, Maine, USA.

Here in the UK we now organise 17 highly successful trade shows, all of them leaders in their sectors as well as publishing several market leading trade magazines. We also produce a range of digital products that support the industries we work in. Over 110 highly motivated and talented people work in our Brighton, Cotswolds, Peterborough and London offices, all focused on creating the best possible exhibiting and visiting experiences for our customers.

ABOUT THE ROLE:




We are looking for an experienced Marketing Manager to work in our Brighton office as the lead marketer for an established trade show in the tourism sector.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to take on a central role in the direction and success of this vibrant annual event. The successful candidate will be working within a busy, hard-working but fun department. You must have a minimum of 3 years' hands-on marketing experience, an ability to work independently and be highly organised.

The candidate will work closely with the Event Manager, Operations Manager and will report to the Group Marketing Manager.

  • Implementation of detailed marketing campaign to attract visitor attendance to trade exhibitions and support the exhibition sales efforts
  • Responsible for briefing design department for all creative required for all marketing campaigns
  • Building and maintaining relationships with event partners, including contra deals
  • Building HTML emails and management of web content
  • Working with other departments and external suppliers to produce online exhibitor manual
  • Dealing with Customer enquiries from both exhibitors and visitors
  • Responsible for management of show registration company
  • Ability to support team via face to face field activity at industry events/meetings
  • Management of online feedback survey and report generation for both exhibitor and visitors
  • To research, negotiate and engage with external suppliers of print, mail, online technology etc
  • Knowledge of social media and paid digital marketing
  • Experience in effective copy writing for all elements of the campaign, plus detailed proof reading abilities
  • Keeping to and management of marketing budgets
  • Research, develop and implement new growth areas for events, plus database building and management




SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum 3 years' marketing experience/ Degree in Marketing or relevant alternative
  • Proven track record in a B2B events environment
  • Accurate numeric skills and analytical ability
  • Fully proficient in MS Office environment (particularly MS Excel and MS Word)
  • Excellent copywriting and proofreading skills
