Job Title: Graduate Embedded Software Engineer

Job requirement/business case

To compliment the growth of Titans embedded software team.

Overall Purpose of the job/key accountabilities

To enhance Titan's embedded software capability developing electro/mechanical systems for use in high performance autonomous vehicles.

Operational responsibilities

Collaborating with team members to define systems and architectures that solve challenging engineering problems
Writing embedded software for electro/mechanical systems used both on and off vehicle
Supporting bring-up and debugging of embedded systems
Work with project managers to estimate timescales for tasks
Deliver projects to agreed deadlines
Person Specification

Skills & Abilities

Proficient programming in C/C++
A genuine passion for solving technical challenges
Appreciation of microcontroller peripherals and interfaces
Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle
A commitment to quality and delivering consistency
General and Specific Knowledge, and experience

Experience working in multi-disciplined teams
Education & Training

Likely to have:

Educated to Degree level in software or electronic engineering
A good appreciation of both electronics and mechanical engineering
Relevant Experience

Writing C/C++for embedded applications
Using a scripting language, Python or Matlab
Experience programming with Arduino or Raspberry Pi boards
Automotive communications using CAN/FlexRay
Experience working within a small team
Personal Qualities

A genuine and demonstratable interest in electronic\mechanical engineering
Possess good communication skills both verbal and written
Show a positive & 'can do' attitude to enthuse others
Maintains a positive outlook in difficult situations
Adopts an inclusive team based approach
Be a self-starter
