IT support desk (techical support)

The company: My client is a large US based company that offers a mobile protection app. They are looking to break into the UK market right now; you could be one of the first to join the UK team which would give you great career prospects within the company.

The Product: The app has many tools and uses such as hardware insurance which covers damage or theft, software insurance which will cover viruses, it also encrypts all data on your phone for better protection, sends out a beacon when your phone is about to run out of battery so if it's lost you can find it and many more features. They are the only company which offers all aspects of phone protection in one application for free (they also offer premium versions).

The role: You will be providing 1st line support for any and all issues around the application that customers may be having and help them to resolve these issues. In addition to this you will be testing new versions of the application to support the development team. You will be the first point of contact for customers so your role will be highly important to ensure the smooth running of the application. This communication will be via telephone/ email/ live chat.

  • Initially the working hours will be from 2 pm to 11 pm as the customers you will be speaking to will be US based however once the UK market has grown enough you will be speaking to UK customers which will mean normal working hours
  • Experience in resolving/ troubleshooting / testing software issues (similar experience will be considered)
  • Passionate to give customers the best experience
  • Strong Microsoft Office experience
  • IT support desk experience (preferred)

Salary: £25'000 to £30'000 (depending on experience)
