IT Major Incident and ITIL Problem Manager

A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Major Incident and ITIL Problem Manager to join a large IT company in Reading, Berkshire.

Main job function:
As Incident and Problem Manager, you will be responsible for defining, managing and enhancing IT Problem and Major Incident Management processes in line with ITIL principles to ensure a high level of customer service is achieved and maintained.

Key responsibilities and tasks:

An experienced Major Incident and Problem Manager, you will be someone who has experience of handling SLAs and KPIs to help mature IT processes and procedures.

Excellent knowledge of ITIL Service/Incident/Problem Management.

*(ITIL Version 3) would be advantageous.
*Implementing and maintaining the Problem Management Policy/Framework
*Providing trend and root cause analysis of recurring incidents, as well as aiding technical investigation of Problems to expedite resolution
*Providing relationship management across all internal and external support functions to achieve improved Incident and Problem resolution
*Experience of running Major Incidents, delivering Post Incident Reviews (PIR) and Continual Service Improvement (CSI)
*Excellent commercial management, ability to address issues from both complex technical and layman's terms.
