Our client is a not-for-profit organisation that work within a number of areas to improve society, such as Justice, Education and Employment. They deliver an exciting contract which aims to help ex-offenders to re-integrate back into society and stop them from offending.

Role Summary

Working as part of a diverse internal team and a network of other providers, your role will be to support a caseload of work-ready ex-offenders to help them move into sustainable employment. Your clients will be an equal split of high level risk ex-offenders i.e. on average 50% are sex offenders - so you need to be confident, and have a positive approach to help them progress.

Don't worry! Your clients will have already been through an extensive mentoring process to help break down their barriers and make them more employable. Your customers may have criminal records but they are ready and eager to work and still have a lot to offer!

You will actively engage with local employers in order to generate suitable job opportunities for your customers. Using your knowledge of the local labour market and recruitment sales techniques, you will be targeted to find them work and coach them through the application/interview process.

Please note: you can be based either in Oxford or Milton Keynes. Your patch responsibility is the Thames Valley area (Aylesbury, Oxford, Reading, High Wycombe, Slough)

You will conduct HMP visits at least once a month to assist with employment on release.

What are we looking for?

To apply for this role, it is essential that you have worked within either the welfare-to-work, employment/recruitment sector or within a sales role.

You must be a driver

Ideally you will have supported long term unemployed people or ex-offenders but this is not essential
