Registrar - Independent School (West London)Salary £35,000 - £40,000 dependent on experience

Our client, a prestigious Independent School based in West London, are currently looking for an experienced, highly organised and self-motivated Registrar.

The successful candidate will be required to manage the Admissions process, so that it reflects the strengths and ethos of the School. They will also be required to sustain and improve the quality of education offered to the pupils in the school, through promoting the highest possible standards of administration and organisation.

As the Registrar yourmain duties will include:
  • Keeping the admissions area of database and whole Preparatory School database up to date.
  • Communicating regularly with registered parents with updates, newsletters, events etc.
  • Answering all Admissions queries made by phone and in person, making them feel important, comfortable and welcome, sending prospectus and other promotional booklets when appropriate to interested parties.
  • Updating, collating and distributing documents and Open Event details to send to prospective parents.
  • Liasing with the Marketing and Events Manager in relation to advertising, leaflets, prospectus and special promotional merchandise for Open Events.
  • Liasing with feeder nursery school heads, PA's, Secretaries and Registrars.
  • Liasing with the Headmistress, SMT and Marketing and Events Manager, regarding the organisation of Open Events and Assessment Days.
  • Managing daily registers; recording ill/late/absent children and follow up.
  • Maintaining uniform liaison between supplier and parents.
  • Managing the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Admission and claim nursery grants
To be considered for this position you must have:
  • A relevant qualification that reflects the key duties of the post or previous working experience in a school
  • Proven working experience of managing the Admissions process in a school
  • Proven experience working as a Registrar
  • Tact and diplomacy to deal with people in a professional manner in all circumstances
  • Ability to prioritise and use own initiative
  • Excellent communication, administrative and organizational skills
  • Experience of managing a database
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good IT skills
  • Previous experience using SchoolBase Database system is highly desirable
