Line Up Aviation are currently looking for a Project Risk Manager to join our client based in Bournemouth.

This is a 12 month FTC offering very a competitive/negotiable salary.

Role Purpose:

As a Project Risk Manager you will ensure that there is an efficient, effective and comprehensive approach to risk management providing effective controls and assurance in order to minimise risk events, which result in a negative impact to the organisation/employees/assets and poor customer outcomes, reputational damage or regulatory scrutiny/intervention.

Seen as the authority on all aspects of Portfolio, Program and Project Risk Management, championing the development of risk management processes, procedures and tools by working closely with Program Project Managers and teams to ensure the planning, designing and implementing of the risk management process is robustly adhered to.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, development and implementation of integrated Portfolio, Program and Project Risk management processes, procedures, tools and reporting to comply with the Company risk policy

Work collaboratively with the Group Enterprise Program Management Office to enable policy compliance, best practice, continuous improvement and lessons learned.

Facilitate identification, assessment, analysis and management of risks, opportunities and issues within the portfolio of programs and projects.

Maintain visibility of risk/opportunity trigger points to facilitate risk cost profiling, timely draw down of risk budget or retirement or realisation of risk/opportunity.

Assist with identification of identification and recording if appropriate management response s which are measurable and specific, along with assessing the post mitigated positions.

Monitor overall portfolio and program risk exposure from the risk registers, assess against the remaining risk budget, and provide insight and recommendations.

Proactively manage the completion of management responses to help deliver target positions.

Work with Supply Chain Managers to assess sub-contractor held risks and their views on program held risk that impact upon them.

Maintain an awareness of risks in other projects and their impact on the program or portfolio.

Produce risk based reports as required in a timely manner to support the effective communication of the risk and opportunity status.

Support the Program and Project teams to maintain detailed risk registers.

Ensure that risk management cadence and governance is performed.

Ensuring that Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) are clearly defined, documented, monitored, and regularly reviewed.

Investigating and reporting risk events, ensuring that the root cause of each event is identified and that a program of action is designed to effectively mitigate the risk, in line with the Enterprise Wide Risk Framework.

Working alongside Project and Program Managers to contribute to the creation of robust, objective and accurate reporting at a portfolio, program and project level.

Reporting latest risk positions and mitigations to stakeholders through regular governance meetings and reviews.

Monitor identification and closeout of program level issues.

Demonstrable evidence of Programme and Project Management competences to an expert level in Risk and Opportunity Management, Issue Management, Change Management and Execution and Control.

Demonstrable evidence of Programme and Project Management competences to an advanced level in Stakeholder Management, Planning and Governance.

Demonstrable evidence of Programme and Project Management competences to an intermediate level in financial management and Commercial and Contracts.

Demonstrable evidence of leadership competences to intermediate level in Developing and Leading High Performing Teams, Resilience, Intellectual Challenge, Voice of the Customer, Execution to Promise and Targets.

Skilled in providing risk management coaching.

Occasional travel maybe required within the UK.

Key requirements:

Degree or equivalent experience.

Must have thorough understanding of risk management within the portfolio, program & project environment.

Qualified to APMP/PRINCE 2 or equivalent.

MOR practitioner or APM Risk Certificate level 2 or equivalent experience.

Previous experience of successful delivery of risk management process and implementation in Projects, Programmes and Portfolios or a similar role.

Must be a self-starter, imaginative and creative with good written and verbal communication skills.
