Are you an experienced Application Support Analyst looking to join a well established IT team and function, within an organisation playing a vital role in helping change the way energy is generated, supplied and used? If yes, Harvey Nash have the role for you as an Application Support Analyst.

Harvey Nash Leeds has partnered exclusively with Drax Group to deliver a campaign of technology roles within their well established function - based in Selby, North Yorkshire.

Drax Group is one of Britain's largest energy companies. It provides 12% of the country's renewable electricity - enough to power more than 6 million homes. Drax recognise that shifting away from coal-fuelled power is essential for clean air, healthy communities, sustainable economic growth, and a safe climate.

As an Application Support Analyst, your primary focus will be to ensure the availability, stability and performance of Applications by providing operational support. You will also be contributing to the design and implementation of new applications and changes.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with and supporting digital solutions coupled with a strong understanding of SQL. An appreciation of the energy industry is also preferred.

Core responsibilities:
  • Providing technical and process guidance to application users and customers
  • Prioritising, driving and resolving problems to determine the root cause and identifying improvements
  • Ensuring that Incidents are resolved efficiently in line with agreed SLAs
  • Assessing and fulfilling Service Requests in a timely manner
  • Providing technical and business process support to the DPL IT team of Project Managers, BA's, Testers and Developers, as well as updating the Service Desk as required and upon resolution regarding incidents
  • Identifying and assessing opportunities for continuous improvements to DPL Applications, and process, for contribution into application road maps.
