About the job

The post holder will report directly to the Senior Engineer, Assets and Infrastructure Team and have experience in a municipal engineering environment, preferably in drainage and highway engineering design and construction. The post holder must be competent to assist with the preparation of designs, SuDs application processing specifications, procurement, plans and tenders. The post holder must also have knowledge and experience of the Flood Risk Regulations 2009, the Flood and Water Management Act 2010, the Reservoirs Act 1975 and the Highways Act 1980.

About the person

The post holder (s) will hold an HND/HNC in civil Engineering or other related discipline and have experience in working in a design/construction related environment with strong bias to drainage assets and highways. This post requires you to demonstrate the ability to work well as both an individual and team member with minimal management input. The post holder will also be required to possess an ability to organise and prioritise tasks and deliver complex outcomes to tight deadlines.

You will be skilled at analysing multiple sources of information, making excellent decisions, and driving difficult situations towards a positive resolution.
