Reporting to the General Counsel, you will be responsible for managing and implementing legal change and process with a focus on overseeing regulatory, compliance and risk matters within the business.

Creation and maintenance of processes and practices to improve the day to day efficiency and effectiveness of the Legal & Compliance department, including the facilitation of change processes to drive efficiency and embed culture of continuous improvement;
Identify and implement department tools to streamline new or existing practices, as well as manage design, roll-out and training for new systems;
Drive strategic and operational initiatives with on-time and on-budget results;
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage Legal & Compliance involvement in operational projects across the business;
Working with the department heads, liaise with the business to identify and assist the department to deliver business operational needs, and assist the Legal & Compliance management team in planning, prioritising and allocating resources appropriately;
Advise on the department's budget planning, including partnering with the Finance team to monitor budget constraints and actual performance, identify spending trends, potential cost savings and efficiency opportunities, with particular focus on managing external legal and professional fees;
Manage and report on key operational and substantive metrics for the Legal & Compliance department to drive better decision-making and efficiency improvements;
Implement the HighQ system to include management of matter management, contracts management, compliance management and internal resource management;
Develop and support initiatives that promote collaboration and knowledge sharing across the team, including centralised resources, processes, key advice and other knowledge resources;
Together with the department heads, develop resources and tools for the business to self-serve Legal & Compliance issues and training resources, and managing the Legal & Compliance department's intranet site;
Manage Legal & Compliance input and content for sales bids, ensuring that the department's bid library content is regularly reviewed and updated;
Identify and facilitate use of automation, technology and new ways of working to support matters and projects in a manner that is coordinated with the broader strategic goals of the department and of the Group;
Contribute to long term behavioural change through Legal & Compliance operations coaching to ensure operational best practice is a core competency of all department members.
