Based in Hove, this established Motor Insurance Claims provider requires an experienced Motor Claims Handler / Customer Service Advisor to join their busy and friendly team. You will be responsible for the accurate and timely resolution of motor claims telephone enquiries and providing an excellent level of customer service at all times, managing motor claims from notification to closure at minimum cost.

Role Outline:
  • Ensure that all new claims actions have been completed
  • Review reserves at each touch to the file and amend if appropriate
  • Consider liability and if non fault ensure that the recovery process has been put in place
  • Where at fault and Third Party have instigated a claim, prioritise Credit Hire Claims
  • Where liability is an issue ensure early investigation and contact with witnesses to determine liability and contain costs
  • Proactively obtain information and follow up inspections and investigation requests
  • Log actions on the memo screen with sufficient information for others to follow
  • Ensure all actions/promises are followed up and action diary within agreed timescales
  • When advising a Policyholder/Third Party what is required next, ensure that they have a clear understanding, agreeing time scales
  • Ensure that all payments are correctly entered
  • When closing a claim ensure that all actions are complete and the cause code is correct.

Ideal applicants will have excellent customer service experience within a Motor Claims or Motor Insurance based role and will be able to demonstrate an excellent telephone manner and good organisational skills. You will also possess excellent analytical and negotiation skills coupled with the ability to meet deadlines.

Salary is £21,000 - £24,000 plus Benefits.

Hours are 8.30am - 5.00pm, Monday - Friday.
