Fantastic opportunity for a Financial Controller or Finance Manager looking to grow towards a Finance Director role in the next 12-18 months.

Client Details

My exclusive client is a successful and growing retail focused business. they have a number of sites in Kent and are looking at further expansion.

Description

As The Financial Controller / FD Designate, you will initially report into the current Finance Director and will oversee the management and development of a small finance team.

You will be a member of the senior executive team and will have responsibility for all financial aspects, with a focus on helping the company to grow profitability over the long term.

As well as producing accurate and meaningful monthly management accounts, rolling profit forecasts and the board pack, the role will also require you to ensure that the company is compliant with all statutory reporting requirements and timetables. You will oversee the cash-flow management on a daily, weekly and monthly basis and will ensure that procedures are in place for working capital control.

As Financial Controller / FD Designate, you will ensure that robust controls are in place, and that they are executed internally to protect the business.

You will also be responsible for administering the company's bonus scheme, and in this role you are also responsible for the correct running of the accounting and management information systems within the business.

The FD is looking to develop and mentor this individual over the next 12-18 months, ensuring a smooth handover and that the business is left in a great situation upon his exit.

Profile

The successful candidate will have good Financial Control experience and be looking for a role where they can progress into a number 1 Finance Director position in the next 12-18 months.

You MUST be formally qualified (ACA, ACCA OR CIMA) and will have good leadership and management skills, and would benefit from good presentation and IT skills, especially in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
