Business Development Manager, Healthcare /NHS software solutions

Up to £55k base plus £5.5k car allowance plus commission

Basingstoke

Purpose of Role: The role holder is responsible for the development of software and services sales in the healthcare sector including NHS in London. He/she will manage activities to grow existing clients and to identify and create new client business revenue growth selling the CHKS iCompare and iCommissioner Benchmarking software and services and the CHKS Clinical Coding services. He/she will work alongside the Business Development Director to develop a sales plan, which will set out the strategy for growth including target accounts, propositions, contact plan and growth forecast.

Key Responsibilities:
? To open opportunity to engage early in the sales cycle to influence strategy.
? To position CHKS and create the opportunity to differentiate.
? To define, develop and own key target customer relationships and customer contact strategy.
? To understand customer business issues and align CHKS propositions to create new business opportunity.
? To build and develop account plans and close plans.
? To create and then lead virtual teams (encompassing bid management, service and solution architecture, finance, operations and delivery) to successfully bid for major contracts within an agreed bid budget.
? To develop relationships with key vendors and partners, including other Capita companies, that will assist in business growth.
? To make a significant contribution to CHKS sales revenues and margin.
? To work closely with the Business Development Director to communicate sales activity, targets, pipelines and forecasts.

Skills/Experience:
? Self-sufficient and results driven, excited by the prospect of playing a significant role in a fast-growing business.
? Minimum of 5 years Healthcare sales experience, ideally within a Software Vendor or an IT Services company.
? Proven track record of selling to key executives including clinical stakeholders and of achieving sales targets.
? Very strong presentation skills.
? Highly developed and effective interpersonal and influencing skills including with executive director level and external stakeholders.
? Well experienced in using and leveraging the value of CRM.
? Governing bodies understanding and insight and experience converting demand driven by them.
? Excellent negotiation skills, proven track record of successfully pitching for new business.
