An internationally respected production company are looking for two permanent, mechanically biased Manufacturing Operatives due to increasing orders. In this role, you would manage a large automated production machine and supervise one end of line worker who packs and checks for quality.

The shifts for the Manufacturing Operative role are 6 am to 2 pm Monday to Friday, with an hourly rate of £9.72. Some of your main tasks when running the machine would be setting up, basic maintenance, problem-solving machine issues, and communicating with the engineers.

As a Manufacturing Operative, your duties would include;

General running of a large automated production machine.
Basic maintenance tasks.
Solving quality issue and jam up problems.
Communicating the reason for breakdowns to the engineers.
Supervise and liaise with the line worker.
Completing work tickets and shift information.

The ideal Manufacturing Operative would have;

Mechanical knowledge and aptitude.
Experience of running large automated machines.
Good communication skills.
The ability to work unsupervised.
Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude.

Manufacturing Operative

In return, you will receive an hourly rate of £9.72 (£18,954) and 26 days leave plus bank holidays. There is a Christmas shutdown, in 2020 there will also be a summer shutdown. Your working times will be from 6 am to 2 pm Monday to Friday (37.5 hour week) but could different to this for your initial training period
