Senior Audit Manager - Credit Risk

£60-90kpa + excellent benefits - car allowance + bonus + pension + healthcare


My market leading client seeks an exceptional Senior Audit Manager - Credit Risk for their Head Office based in Swindon.

You will manage audit engagements relating to credit risk across all relevant products and business areas; and as such you'll need proven and extensive credit risk experience.

  • You will manage a team of audit colleagues, coaching them to deliver high quality and impactful audits.
  • You'll ensure delivery of audits that assess governance, risk management and key controls.
  • Some challenging conversations may be required to agree identified issues, so you'll need to be able to ask the right questions and be brave enough to challenge and have the integrity and influencing skills to build trust and credibility with your stakeholders.
  • This is a great opportunity to manage your own business area relationships. You'll work in an energetic and productive team, and be able to build credibility and reputation within the Senior Leadership team.

Skills & Experience required:-
  • Experience of auditing or managing risks, processes and controls associated with credit risk.
  • Ideally you'll have had direct experience of having worked within a credit risk team, or in a first line credit risk management role. Audit experience following on from this will be advantageous, albeit full audit training can be given for the right person.
  • Proven at collaborating with the senior leadership team in identifying strategic priorities.
  • You'll have exceptional organisational skills, being able to drive the planning and delivery of a range of audits.
  • Experience of leading a high performing team, providing performance feedback, career guidance and coaching.
  • Influence others and build professional business relationships including executive leaders and directors.
  • Be positive and brave in your approach, overcoming barriers that arise.
  • Be comfortable with change, leading the development and implementation of ongoing improvement initiatives to deliver our strategy.
