An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Group Cashier to join our busy Finance department at Head Office, Blackburn. You will be responsible for managing a busy and varied workload and ensuring a smooth running of the cashiering function.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily cash receipts from the bank statement and ensuring the data reconciles.
  • Ensure BACs and cheque payments are posted and allocated to the customer accounts.
  • Twice daily cash reports to the credit control function.
  • Handle till discrepancies for the depots across the network - this will involve liaising with depot staff.
  • Process card payments for the online portion of the business
  • Daily banking.
  • Process PayPal payments.
  • Control and administer the cashier query mail box - this will involve investigating payments, tracing payments made and transfers.
  • Assist with the daily bank reconciliations for the company and cashflow forecasting.
  • Daily monitoring of safe balances to ensure depots are keeping their cash balances at a suitable level.
  • Continuously looks for methods to improve processes to add efficiencies.
  • Provide assistance with the petty cash process.
  • Deal with chargeback requests from our provider
  • Ad hoc duties as and when required.


  • GCSE's in Maths and English
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Excellent Prioritisation Skills
  • Highly Proficient IT Skills (MS Office)
  • Ability to plan and organise own workload
  • Ability to work on own initiative

Monday - Friday 8.30am - 17.00pm
