S & L Consultancy Ltd are looking for an experienced Air Conditioning Project Manager to work a for an ever expanding business. With order books full and an ever growing reputation there has never been a better time to join them. This is your usual PM role where you're working all hours. ROLE: Air Conditioning Project Manager
LOCATION: Commutable from Milton Keynes, Northampton and sorrounding areas.
SALARY: Upto £47,000 plus either a van / car - You decide
The role is split 60 / 40 office based with the majority of contracts local to HQ and ideally you would of had hands on experience as an Air Conditioning / Refrigeration engineer previously and an exposure to chillers.
This role is to survey, estimate and project manage the delivery of Air conditioning and Refrigeration projects together with identifying opportunities for existing and new clients to support business development. You should have at least 5 years previous experience in this role and be technically competent and familiar with all types of air conditioning systems. Key Accountabilities:
* To produce fully costed, detailed and accurate estimates in response to surveys, requests for quotation or tenders
* Deliver those estimates for internal review within the timescales identified by the company, to meet customer deadlines
* Identify and develop opportunities - both new and existing customers in line with strategy
* Maintain strong client relationships at all levels and support the overall quality of service provision
Key Duties:
* Undertake site surveys, interpret plans and tender documents to produce fully costed and detailed estimates
* Identify new opportunities
* Understand and remain current with industry standards and design practice
* Support Operations Team as necessary regarding live jobs/projects
* Ensure Projects are priced and estimated to allow their completion on time, within budget and to the agreed profit level
* Thorough knowledge of safety issues with the ability to produce Method Statements and Risk Assessments for projects/installations
* Examine tender documentation and advise of bid prospects and alternative solutions
* Ensure tenders are presented in a consistent manner using pricing models, with due consideration given to risk and defined scope
Skills Required:
(knowledge / qualifications / experience)
* Possess excellent experience in a similar surveying/estimating management role
* Ability to calculate parts, labour and project costs accurately
* Ability to secure new business opportunities, as part of the company's wider commercial activities
* Excellent organisational skills and ability to support major bid process
* Excellent communication skills, including written and presentational
* Good eye for detail and quality of documents and actual delivery
* Have experience of being an engineer previously
