JOB PURPOSE:

The post holder will be part of a team that delivers training and assessment of employees in Digital Marketing and Software Development, to achieve national standards as part of an Apprenticeship Standards. Trainer/Assessor's may be asked to deliver and assess on some or all the following: Appropriate Technical Certificate, NVQ/ QCF Diploma (or relevant Vendor or competence-based qualifications

You will have occupational experience and extensive experience of delivery and assessment methods as part of apprenticeship standards/frameworks with a comprehensive record of Continuous Professional Development within the vocational areas. Experience or capability to deliver English, maths and ICT Functional Skills Levels one and two would be highly desirable.

You will be required to use your expertise to provide a high-quality training environment within JTM and work closely with the Curriculum and Apprenticeship co-ordinators and General Manager to ensure delivery, training and assessment complies with Awarding Organisations and End Point Assessment requirements, Employer and learner needs.You will work in a demanding and rewarding environment with young people and adults and this will require a flexible approach.

This role would suit a person with relevant vocational experience and who has good communication skills and enjoys applying those skills in a training and assessment environment. You will be a highly self-motivated, energetic and driven individual, encompassing a strong sense of autonomy.You will possess strong presentation and communication skills and be able to demonstrate achievement of targets.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.Deliver and develop to a high standard of training and underpinning knowledge programmes which are responsive to learners' and employers' needs to both groups and individuals as part of work-related programmes. This will include apprenticeship technical certificates, functional skills and specialist commercial training programmes.

2.Plan and prepare schemes of work and session plans for taught sessions with groups of learners using JTM documentation.

3.Delivering and Assessing the competence, knowledge and understanding to national standards of work based learners on standalone qualifications or part of apprenticeship standards/frameworks.

4.Work to agreed caseload targets and timescales in agreement with Senior Management Team.

5.Work as required to development a broader curriculum in work based learning and training initiatives.

6.Support the Completion Health and Safety Risk Assessment vetting of companies in-line with JTM and funding policy procedures.

7.Maintain and communicate the qualification aims, progress and delivery targets to the General Manager to ensure the timely completion of qualifications and frameworks. To plan via Individual Learning Plans and Reviews (ILP's/ILR's).

8.Visit learners at agreed intervals to assess, agree actions/ review targets set and ensure progression of learning aims with appropriate actions.

9.To develop best practice in delivery of electronic portfolios. Capture and evidence learner work and learning materials, uploading evidence in a timely fashion.

10.Liaise with other JTM staff and employers to enable and encourage learner achievement, progression and retention.

11.Support learners through recording, tracking, documenting and discussion for progress of individual study

12.Plan and develop assessment strategies which ensure learners are well supported to achieve their learning outcomes

13.Provide constructive feedback to learners to equip them to develop their skills and progress

14.Ensure that all relevant paperwork and evidence is kept secure and confidential

15.Ensure that all relevant assessment paperwork is completed clearly and concisely, with the appropriate signatures and dates in place

16.Communicate regularly with colleagues and manager to maximise effectiveness

17.Work closely with Internal Quality Assurer and External Quality Assurer, adhering to the assessment/ sampling plan deadlines

18.Ensure that all paperwork is submitted, complete and on time, to the correct department

19.Ensure compliance to, and contribute to, the quality processes

20.Recruitment and generation of new learners onto the training programmes.

21.Promotion of JTM learning programmes to new and existing employers, with the support of the, Recruitment and General Manager.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Recruit learners, offer initial advice and guidance regarding training opportunities

2.Interview, advise and undertake a full induction for all programme applicants

3.Ensure adherence to Health and Safety, Safeguarding and equality of opportunity legislation

4.Manage work schedule efficiently and effectively

5.Record comprehensive details of work activity in Outlook diary

PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Qualifications

·Teaching Qualification - PTLLs, CTLLs, DTLLs, Education and Training L3, CERT.ED PGCE

·Assessors Award (D32/D33, TAQA, A1 or Training Assessment qualification)

·Level 3 qualified (as a minimum) within relevant vocational sector or recent occupational experience

·Maths level 2 (or equivalent)

·English level 2 (or equivalent)

·Internal Quality Assurance qualification (D34, V1 or IQA qualification) or be willing to work towards) DESIRABLE

·IT qualifications and/or evidenced experience (or willing to work towards) DESIRABLE




Experience

·Relevant experience of delivering learning in in the workplace

·Evidence of delivering high quality and effective learning experience with adult learners

·Evidence of providing learning and support to groups or individuals

·Evidence that you are able to apply effective approaches to training at more than one level and target audience

·Recent and relevant experience of working in the Digital Marketing and Software Development sector

·Producing and presenting information and reports using a variety of methods and media

·Ability to plan, execute and evaluate own activities

·Identify, interpret and apply knowledge and information

·Ability to deliver results within a pressured environment, against KPIs and programme end dates

·Excellent communication skills, including the ability to influence others and build positive relationships

·Act as an effective professional ambassador for JTM
