Are you a professional Finance Assistant who's looking for their next challenge? A role to really put their stamp on? Siamo Group have an excellent opportunity for a proactive natured individual to join our clients finance team of 3 running the day to day activities of the sales and purchase ledgers, credit control, general accounting duties and the treasury function.

This small, successful and fast moving business will allow you work across 4 key areas providing an extremely varied role.

The package on offer:

·An above market starting salary of £26,000

Our client has provided the following responsibilities for this Finance Assistant role:

·Monitoring and actioning the Accounts Inbox in Outlook

·Coding, processing and owning approval of all purchase ledger items

·Reconcile supplier statements and investigate any discrepancies

·Issuing of sales invoices and credit notes, ensuring accuracy prior to inputting into Sage

·Preparing BACS payments and issuing ad hoc cheques

·Cashbook management through the general ledger

·Reconcile petty cash monthly and reconciling banks on a weekly basis

·Update cashflow weekly including debtors and creditors

·Hold regular Debtors review meetings with the Finance and Operations Managers to address ageing debts and queries

·Assisting the Finance Manager in General Ledger and other accounting duties where required. For example - Quarterly VAT returns and more.

The ideal candidate for this Finance Assistant vacancy will have the following:

·Previous exposure in a similar role which included Credit Control responsibilities

·Proven track record of outperformance, owing issues to conclusion and delivering high quality output

·Computer literate with intermediate Excel skills (pivots, Vlook-ups, Sumif etc)

·Sound knowledge of Sage 50 Accounting software or equivalent

·Able to self-manage with a methodical approach and an eye for detail

·Confident telephone manner
