Accounts Assistant - Nottingham - £20,000 - £23,000 + Study Support

Chase and Holland are proud to be recruiting exclusively for a Accounts Assistant for a successful business based in South Nottingham. This role is due to expansion and will suit a very dedicated and enthusiastic self-starter who wants to learn and progress. This role will be to assist the Group Accountant in their day to day duties and ideally take on more and more as you progress. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone wanting to become AAT Qualified and then progress into Management Accounts and become ACCA or CIMA Qualified. You will be expected to assist with nominal ledger reconciliations and analysis work. In addition, you will provide support to the annual statutory audit work.

Accounts Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Process non purchase ledger payment requests, ensuring correct payment request form is completed.
  • Liaise with both internal customers and phone suppliers in order to manage the company's phone usage and to check, code and ensure bills are input onto the Purchase Ledger.
  • Run daily banking reports and emailing to CEO, Chairman, relevant Directors and FC.
  • Reconciliation of monthly credit card statement and prepare for posting onto the ledger.
  • Collection, recording and posting of Engineer's timesheets.
  • Intercompany recharges, calculation and posting.
  • Completion of rebate claims in line with manufacturers agreements on a monthly basis.
  • Assisting with the management accounts process on a monthly basis.
  • General filing and archiving.
  • Any ad hoc duties as specified by the Group Accountant.

Key Requirements and Preferences:

  • Studying AAT qualification or equivalent
  • Experience in Microsoft applications, particularly Excel
  • Good Communication skills
  • Customer focused

  • Show attention to detail
  • Previous Accounts office experience
