Compliance Technologist North Somerset Salary circa £40k plus benefits
AIM Recruitment are proud to be working with a well loved and market leading food manufacturer based in North Somerset who due to constant expansion due to retailer demand have created a new role in their technical department for someone who has a real passion for compliance and enjoy interacting with all levels from the factory floor to directors.
This role will report directly to the Technical Compliance Manager and you will be responsible for supporting site compliance to food retailer codes of practice and driving the business to exceed industry standards and the expectation of retailers.
The main duties of this role will include:

·Supporting all sites to meet Retailer Codes of Practice requirements

·Supporting, coaching and collaboratively improving our sites to embed a food safety culture at all levels

·Providing clear guidance and sharing knowledge to drive compliance and effectively manage the risks.

·Raising site compliance levels by supporting the teams to deliver best practice.

·Auditing and coaching on Food Safety, Quality and Good Manufacturing Practice

·Contribute to continuous improvement and support sites with root cause analysis.
This is a Monday to Friday position with standard office hours but will include frequent travel to other sites in the UK as and when required but you will be expect to spend at least one day per week on site in North Somerset supporting site activities.
Main requirements and expectations for this role are:

·Experience in Technical Roles within the Food Industry

·Higher education qualification in Food Science / Technology

·Great influencing and people skills

·Practical knowledge of TACCP/VACCP

·Experience of auditing / managing BRC / supporting quality systems

·Clear effective communication and presentation skills.

·Good working knowledge of Microsoft tools
