We are a Managed IT Services company based in Billericay and are looking for a 1st Line IT engineer with a "Can Do attitude" to join the support team.

The applicant should be someone who has either completed an apprenticeship and are looking to move on, or have at least 2 years' experience in a 1st line support role with an IT related qualification.

You should be customer focused with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Can absorb technical information and advise of the issue/resolution to less technical users in a clear and concise manor that is easy to understand.

Main Responsibilities

Assisting with the role out of Windows 10 across customer sites

You will be the 1st point of contact for telephone and email based support

Escalate jobs where necessary

Carry out daily AV checks

Monitor backup routines

Ensure software updates are applied in a timely manner

Monitor the support mailbox to ensure customers queries are being dealt with

Other Responsibilities

Pre-Install new PCs

Perform asset management

Occasional site visits

Installing, upgrading and replacing hardware and software where necessary

Assist with spam content checking

Skills required:

Excellent communication skills (Essential)

Good all-round IT Knowledge (Essential)

Windows 7 - 10 knowledge (Essential)

Basic Windows Server knowledge (Essential)

MS Office (Essential)

Basic AD, Exchange, GPO Administration

Backup applications

Administering & supporting Office 365

Full, Clean Driving licence

Applicants must have the right / permanent right to work in the UK
