Job Description:

Implement and facilitate the Type 26 through life Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system, policy and supporting toolset. Assist the deployment and â€~policing’ of the PLM processes & controls in each lifecycle phase and enable measurement of the PLM system.

Take the lead in areas to develop processes and support the configuration of product information for the Type 26 Programme. This will include involvement in establishing strong configuration control processes, the audit & preparation of product information (including generating Product baselines) and developing product reporting solutions, including technical dashboards.

The role will also support the development and implementation of ship applicability capability for Type-26.
Key Technical Skills
• Have experience/knowledge of the key toolsets used across the project to implement Configuration/PLM particularly PTC’s Windchill, SENER’s FORAN and AVEVA ERM.
• Experience of theory and delivery of PLM and/or Configuration Management disciplines Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Understanding of data/information relationships and the ability to apply this understanding pragmatically.
Core Duties (Key Day to Day Tasks, ideally 10 â€" 12 points)
Major Tasks/Activities
• Type-26 Product Lifecycle Management: Contribute to the overall co-ordination of Type 26 Lifecycle Product Lifecycle Management. Deploy appropriate processes and controls (including training the team) for each phase of the product lifecycle and ensure required level of reporting is delivered for PLM stakeholders.
• Type-26 Through Life Data Management: Contribute by leading scoped elements in the execution of through life data management for the project (interfacing with the IM&T function)
• Ship Applicability: Assist and contribute to the implementation of a ship applicability solution for the Type-26 PDM/ERP interface

Key Outputs/Deliverables
• Contribute to the successful implementation of PLM processes and controls, through targeted development activity.
• Actively assure compliance of programme with Type 26 PLM Strategy and Policy.
• Support the generation of Type 26 Through Life Product Baselines, as required by programme
• Assist with the delivery of the Type 26 PLM dashboards and technical reporting.
• Contribute to the implementation of a multiple ship data management solution for Type-26 in terms of PDM/ERP

• Actively contribute to the strategic view for PLM and configuration management on Type 26 (and in partnership with the Integrated Product and Process Development Team) on topics that are relevant.
