We require a Sonar Modelling Expert based to work in our Beckington office. The key criteria of the role are below:

* Apply mathematical and programmatic methods to perform the extraction, cleansing, manipulation, reduction, analysis, classification, evaluation, prediction and visualisation of data to extract information and insight.

* Design and implement mathematical models of observed and predicted, behaviour and performance. Researching the business and/or application domain as necessary to attain an appropriate level of fidelity.

* Design trials and experiments to generate data for analysis.

* Evaluate data against reference models of observed or predicted behaviour to quantify performance, accuracy and identify anomalies and causes of variance.

* Develop and configure software tools to support modelling and analysis.

* Develop domain knowledge expertise and provide support as required.

* Lead and manage delivery of work packages.

* Supervise and support junior team member.

* Act as domain point of contact.

Key Result Areas:

Project Delivery:

* Perform modelling and analysis of data to identify key aspects of problems, patterns trends and performance.

* Conduct domain research to support modelling and data analysis.

* Write technical reports to document work conducted and convey results to the customer.

* Present material to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Bid and Enquiry Support:

* Support Bid Managers producing bid input and documentation in accordance with their requirements in compliance with the Company Management System.

* Attend Bid Reviews and Pricing and Approval meetings as appropriate to the bid scope and programme.

* Assist as required in the delivery and receipt for the Bid documentation at the specified place by the specified date and time.

Technical Governance and Support:

* Provide domain support and review to bid/project teams

* Review of data science output to validate models and analyses

* Work is to be carried out to customer satisfaction and not attract customer complaint.

The post may require work from our Bristol office on a temporary basis in support of a Project or Bid activities. There will also be travel to other sites for regular meetings with customers and external contractors.
