Legal 500 practice in Essex seeks a Compliance Manager on a full-time, permanent basis.

Joining a busy compliance team located within the Colchester office, the successful manager will provide comprehensive support to the quality and compliance director. Assisting with the management of changes driven by either client demands, objectives or regulatory changes, you will manage a varied workload, ensuring high levels of client service at all times.

• Conducting audits
• SRA compliance
• Data protection
• Integrating a newly merged firm in preparation for assessment to achieve Lexcel
• Risk management
• Providing project support
• Conducting gap analysis
• Finding improvements to working practices
• Coordinating systems and working practice integrations
• Working with the wider compliance team, HR, accounts and IT

The Candidate
• A compliance professional with experience of working at management level
• Technical proficiency in compliance management is essential
• Highly organised with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Excel in communication both verbally and written
• Possesses a flair for networking
• Strong character
