Brockenhurst College has an exciting opportunity for a Sports Centre Coordinator to join their team. Working on a full time, permanent basis you will receive a competitive salary of £20,767 per annum.

We are a high-achieving college who attract around 3,000 sixth form students across the region each year. We are based within the stunning New Forest National Park and offer our students a huge range of courses and superb facilities.

The Sports Centre Coordinator Role:

- Help facilitate the effective usage of the College's Sports Centre

- Ensure that all Sports Hall users comply with the safe delivery of multi-sports activities to governing body standards

- Promote and manage external lettings for all sports facilities to achieve annually agreed income target.

- Ensure health and safety guidelines are enforced when facilitating the sports hall provision.

- Co-ordinate and secure the sports hall facilities and equipment

- Work evenings and at weekends on a regular basis.

- Monitor and evaluate customer feedback from the use of facilities and act upon suggestions for improvement.

- Prepare bookings and usage plans, evaluations and information as required

- Carry out monthly equipment inventories and ensure that equipment is in a safe and sound working order.

- Maintain controls and surveillance for the safeguarding of young people and vulnerable adults

- Provide a 'front of house' service for internal and external events

- Maintain good housekeeping standards in the working areas and changing rooms

- Advise Estates Manager regarding the maintenance, repair and replacement of equipment and facilities.

- Undertake any other duties as may reasonably be required commensurate with the post.

- Contribute to the achievement of the College's mission

Key skills, responsibilities and attitudes required as our Sports Centre Coordinator include:

- A minimum of 5 x GCSE A-C grades to include English and Maths (or equivalent)

- A recognised First Aid qualification

- A range of experience working in a comparable environment

- Experience of facility management and coordinator

- Working knowledge of relevant Health & Safety legislation

- Previous experience of working with students and vulnerable adults

- Ability to organise and plan effectively

- Negotiating skills

- Effective problem solving skills

- Self-motivated, enthusiastic & reliable

- Ability to work with a wide range of people and be able to respond clearly and flexibly to individual needs

- Demonstrate a positive approach to equality and diversity and customer service

- Demonstrate an ability to take responsibility for Health and Safety at work

- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare

- Flexible and adaptable approach to work
