Senior Finance Business Partner

Up to £55,000


The Senior Finance Business Partner is critical to the day to day trading performance of this business. You will act as the primary Finance representative in trading performance discussions, being the go-to person for proactively producing complex trading performance analysis and scenario planning.

Working closely with the product profitability owners and SMEs to proactively highlight risks and opportunities to trading performance and influence these individuals as to the optimum solution, this role is perfect for someone who aspires to be a future FD.

Other key accountabilities will include:
  • Proactively maintain and refine life time value models for B2C products
  • Understand in detail the cause and quantum of trading performance issues, risks and upsides and their impact of Forecast/Budget
  • Act as the Finance representative in trading performance meetings/stand ups.
  • Be the go to person for financial analytical trading queries
  • Proactively support major trading decisions through analysis and financial challenge
  • Produce complex product profitability analysis, working with the business in identifying, scoping and delivering trading performance MI improvements
  • Work with the FP&A Manager, actively challenge trading assumptions in the Forecast/Budget
  • Support on commercial finance led projects as required

Skills/ Experience:
  • Comfortable working autonomously within limited oversight
  • Hold exceptional analytical, excel and communication skills
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced transactional industry within a private equity backed or entrepreneurial business.
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
  • Experience using Tableau/Anaplan would be ideal but not essential
  • Able to lead, influence and direct others
  • Develop strong relationships with internal customers and suppliers
  • Highly organised with strong financial expertise
  • Ability to collate complex information methodically, clearly and concisely
  • Excellent verbal communication and stakeholder management skills
