Commercial Finance Analyst £28,000-£32,000 per annum + Benefits

My client, a family owned, growing logistics firm based in Market Harborough are currently recruiting this fantastic opportunity for a commercial finance analyst to join their growing team.

This is a newly created role through organic growth and will involve working closely with the Commercial director, management accountant and external Accountancy practice in the provision of sound financial and management information, along with the development of forecasts, budgets and cashflows to allow them to continue to grow strategically.

We are looking for applicants with excellent attention to detail, you will enjoy working with and analysing financial information. It's essential that you have a good understanding of Microsoft Excel, pivot tables, Vlookups, advanced formulas are a must and it would be an advantage if you can use macros/coding.

This would be the perfect opportunity for the right individual who has aspirations of one day becoming the Finance Director of their organization.

Duties and responsibilities:

Work with both finance and non-finance departments to review results of analysis and develop rolling forecasts for the year including cashflows and budgets.

Partner with the external accountant to ensure the production of sound financial and management accounting information.

Ongoing development of financial reporting and analysis tools along with helping to develop, support and improve business processes to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

As the client is an SME you will also have exposure and be responsible for the weekly production of payroll and commission reports,Involvement with the management of company HR& Debtor management.

Skills and experience required:

You will be AAT qualified / ACCA/CIMA part qualified.

3+ years experience working in a finance role is essential.

Strong Excel skills - Pivots, VLOOKUPs & Advanced Formulas are a must.

Sage Line 50 & logistics experience isn't essential but would help your application.
